Girl in the street

Girl in the street silently walks in the twilight;
her eyes full of passion are touching the mute sky,
and her bare foot trembles on the cold sidewalk,
the city lamp spreads some pale reflection.

Gray trains swarm on the platforms,
and in the distance locomotive groans;
the passengers rush, dragging their suitcases,
so everybody caries his own thoughts in silence.

Far away, in a distance, the train has disappeared;
only a dress in blood was left behind,
and gloomy body torn in few pieces.

- Whore! – Maybe not? – demur the drunkards,
high above the city black cloud juts,
and on the face still, dreads now yet a dead tear.
